OOH facial detection tech shows a depressed girl hiding emotions when someone is looking, but reverts back when they aren’t.

During the pandemic, people’s mental health suffered more than ever as we were all hidden away. Papyrus was there to listen. The campaign was voted ‘Ad of the week’ on Lurzers Archive.

Papyrus is a charity for the prevention of young suicide. This campaign aimed at parents, raised awareness of cyber bullying on children who are left unsupervised with devices.

PAPYRUS – EXAM STRESS

Exams are tough on school children with mental health issues and affect the suicide rate in young people. We placed questions in textbooks and used posters around schools to offer support.

We reminded students not to stay silent in exam halls.

PAPYRUS – SPOT THE SIGNS

The signs of suicide are hard to spot. We so often hear the phrase, ‘You’d never know they were thinking of suicide.’ We filmed a social experiment to see how people would react if the signs were obvious.

We look at people’s ‘enviably happy perfect lives’ on social media. But behind the perfect pouts and smiling faces, some people aren’t doing so well. These ads ran across social and OOH.

Suicide rates in school children are alarmingly high. And more often than not it’s those children who seem like they are very successful who are unexpectedly the ones most at risk.
