We have worked together a long time. That means we’ve done quite a lot. So here are the ‘edited’ highlights:


We joined forces at a design agency brought together by a passion for ideas, and booze.

We worked on Coors, Gordon’s Gin, Dewar’s and Haagen Das.

Then we moved to BJL.

We won lots of awards, including D&AD and Cannes.

We became Head of Art and Head of Copy.

And then ran the whole creative department.

We ran the British Airways, Fruit of the Loom, Fisherman’s Friend accounts amongst others.

TBWA\Manchester called. Off we went.

Took part in a huge long, long, long pitch for the Tesco account.

Our idea was narrowly beaten by Weiden Kennedy.

Slept on it. Learnt from it.

Got promoted to Joint Creative Directors.

Worked on Co-op Food/ Travel/ Bank, EA Games, Seven Seas, Westland and Cussons.

Got promoted to ECDs.

Built a team. Dropped the ‘them and us’ culture.

Won lots of pitches.

Including Pizza Hut, Bosch, Wilko, Merlin Attractions, David Lloyd, Remington and JD Williams.

Beat London agencies and topped Campaign’s new business rankings. Several times.

Helped create the nations most loved sloth – Neal.

Reported in to ad legend CCO of TBWA UK Peter Souter.

Helped increase Smyths Toys sales by 51%.

Ran international pitches from Nigeria to Hamburg.

Lectured and advised at MMU.

Judged D&AD and other international awards.

Took part in European Creative Director meetings with Global CCO Chris Garbutt.

Won Creative Agency of the Year at the Drum Awards. Twice.

Launched a TBWA network first in-house content creation team.

Had a bloody good time.

We’ve been fortunate to have picked up awards all around the world both as Creatives and Executive Creative Directors across lots and lots of different projects. As well as receiving D&AD pencils, our work has also received accolades at Cannes, The One Show, Epica, London Internationals, New York Festivals and many many times at The Drum Roses, Cream and Fresh Awards. As ECDS we’ve collected a few Creative Agency of the Year awards too. We’ve even been known to have our names attached to a few effectiveness prizes. We’ve also been honoured to judge at D&AD along with many other shows both regional and international.
